She passionately champions these principles, particularly in support of underprivileged communities, demonstrating a commitment to nurturing a more equitable and wholesome food culture.

MJ Harris is a Board Member at Foodways at Nana Cardoon. She grew up on farms outside Cornelius Oregon and in Hampshire, England. MJ is passionate about supporting farmers, protecting farmland, and connecting communities with local food systems. She has served on many non-profit boards, most recently for 8 years with 1000 Friends of Oregon. MJ works as a realtor with (W)here Real Estate specializing in rural properties as well as communities in Washington and Yamhill counties.

Virginia Boone-Heneghan is an educator, designer, gardener, and dedicated volunteer and supporter of Nana Cardoon. Through firsthand experience, she has developed a deep appreciation for heritage seed preservation, biodiversity, and the vital connections within our local food web. As a Forest Grove community member, she is committed to building a more sustainable, resilient future by supporting local ecosystems, preserving agricultural knowledge, and connecting people with the natural world. She believes meaningful stewardship begins with participation, curiosity, and community.

Scott Wray - Director of Development & Digital Strategy at Foodways at Nana Cardoon, leads funding, communications, and operations for Foodways at Nana Cardoon. As grant writer, digital strategist, social media manager, e-commerce and website lead, and even EV Sprinter tech coordinator. Wray ensures programs and projects thrive, connecting local food traditions with community, sustainability, and innovation.
